WisdomTrack Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Which app is this?
This policy covers WisdomTrack — the leads, follow-ups and money tracker (Android app com.mysecurewisdom.wisdomtrack and the Desktop edition). For our GST billing app, see the WisdomBill and website privacy policy.
The short version
Your records stay on your device. No account, no internet needed. Cloud backup is optional and goes to your own Google Drive or OneDrive.
WisdomTrack has no servers. We do not run a backend, we do not have a database of your records, and there is no account to create with us. Everything you enter stays on your device unless you choose to switch on sync — and if you do, your data goes to your own Google Drive or your own OneDrive, whichever you pick, not to us.
We cannot see your leads, your customers, your follow-ups or your money. Not because we promise not to look, but because there is nowhere for us to look.
What the app holds, and where
Everything you type into WisdomTrack is stored in a database file on your own device. That includes:
- Leads — names, company names, phone numbers, email addresses, source, status, expected value, birthdays and anniversaries if you add them, and any notes you record about the people you deal with.
- Follow-ups and activities — titles, types, due dates, priority, whether they repeat, notes and outcomes.
- Money entries — amounts, dates, categories, payment methods, who the money came from or went to, whether it is settled, and any notes.
- Categories, budgets and monthly templates you set up.
- Receipt attachments, if you add them. These are copied into the app's own private storage on your device.
- App settings — your chosen currency, and a random identifier generated on first run that lets sync tell your devices apart. That identifier is not linked to you, your hardware, or any advertising identifier.
None of your records is transmitted anywhere by default. The app is fully usable with no internet connection at all, and with sync off it never sends a lead, a follow-up or a money entry anywhere. Reminders, alerts, search and reports are all worked out on your device.
The one thing the app sends without being asked is a crash report, if it stops unexpectedly. It carries no information about you or your business, and it is covered in its own section below.
If you turn on Google Drive sync
Sync is optional and off until you turn it on. When you do:
- You sign in with Google and grant WisdomTrack a single permission, called drive.file. This is the narrowest Drive permission Google offers. It lets an app see and manage only the files that app itself created. WisdomTrack cannot see, list, open or touch any other file in your Drive — not your documents, not your photos, not files created by other apps.
- The app creates one file in your Drive, wisdomtrack.json, containing your records. It reads and writes that one file and nothing else.
- Your other devices running WisdomTrack read and write the same file, which is how your phone and your computer stay in step.
That file lives in your Google Drive, under your Google account, governed by your agreement with Google. You can open it, copy it, move it or delete it at any time without involving us. Deleting it removes your synced copy; the records already on each device stay there until you delete them in the app.
We also store your Google account's email address on your device, so the Settings screen can show you which account is linked. It is displayed to you and used for nothing else.
Receipt images are not synced. Attachments stay on the device they were added on and are never uploaded. Only your typed records go into the Drive file.
If you choose OneDrive instead
OneDrive works the same way. You sign in with your Microsoft account and grant WisdomTrack access only to its own app folder in your OneDrive (the Files.ReadWrite.AppFolder permission). It keeps the same single wisdomtrack.json file there and cannot see the rest of your OneDrive. You use one cloud or the other, never both at once.
Google API Services Limited Use disclosure
WisdomTrack's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, we do not transfer, sell, or share Google user data with any third party, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it. We have no ability to do any of these things: the data moves directly between your device and your Drive, and never passes through any system we operate.
What we do not collect
We want to be specific rather than reassuring, because “we value your privacy” means nothing on its own. WisdomTrack contains:
- No analytics. No usage tracking of any kind. We do not know how often you open the app, which screens you visit, or which features you use.
- No usage data, even in crash reports. A crash report says what broke; it does not say what you were doing before it broke, or what you had recorded.
- No advertising. No ads, no ad networks, no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party SDKs that collect your records. The app contains two Google libraries: the sign-in library that obtains the Drive permission above, and Crashlytics, which sees only crashes and never your data.
- No account with us. There is nothing to register for and no password we hold.
- No location, contacts, camera or microphone access.
Crash reporting (Android only)
If the app stops unexpectedly, we can only fix it if we know it happened. Almost nobody reports a crash by hand, so WisdomTrack sends one automatically through Google's Firebase Crashlytics.
This happens automatically and there is no setting to switch it off. We would rather say so plainly than bury it: it is part of how the app is maintained, and it is the only thing WisdomTrack sends without you asking. If you would prefer not to send crash reports, uninstalling the app stops them completely.
A crash report contains what went wrong and where: the technical stack trace, your device model, your Android version, and the version of WisdomTrack. It never contains your records. No lead, customer name, phone number, amount or note is included — not because we filter them out, but because the app is built so that this information is never attached to a report in the first place.
Crashlytics is operated by Google and processes these reports on our behalf, under our instructions. Reports are retained for approximately 90 days. The Desktop edition of WisdomTrack has no crash reporting at all.
The free trial, and paying
WisdomTrack is free for the first seven days from the moment you install it, with every feature available. After that, adding new records requires a one-time licence, bought inside the app from the store you installed it from: Google Play on Android, or the Microsoft Store on Windows. Each store's licence unlocks the app installed from that store; a purchase in one store does not unlock the other.
If you choose not to buy a licence, nothing you have already entered is taken away or hidden. Every record stays on your device, visible and editable, and you can export all of it to CSV or save a complete backup from the Settings screen at any time, licence or not. Your data is yours whether you pay us or not.
To know whether you have a licence, the app asks the store on that device: Google Play on Android, for what your Google account has purchased, and the Microsoft Store on Windows, for what your Microsoft account has purchased. The store tells the app only whether a valid purchase exists — never your card details, bank details or billing address, which we have no way of seeing. The answer is stored on that device so the app keeps working when you are offline; it is not written to your sync file or shared with your other devices. Your business records are not involved in a purchase and are never sent anywhere as part of one. Microsoft's handling of payment information is covered by the Microsoft Privacy Statement, and Google's by the Google Payments Privacy Notice.
Permissions the app asks for
- Internet, network state — reaching Google Drive when sync is on, checking your licence with Google Play or the Microsoft Store, and sending a crash report if the app stops unexpectedly. Nothing else uses it.
- Notifications — to show reminders for follow-ups you have scheduled. Reminders are generated on your device; nothing leaves it.
Handing off to other apps
When you tap to call, message on WhatsApp, or email someone from a lead's screen, WisdomTrack passes the phone number or address to the app you have chosen and hands over control. What that app does is covered by its own privacy policy, not this one. WisdomTrack does not send anything in the background — this only happens when you tap the button.
Exports and backups
You can export your records as CSV files or save a full backup from the Settings screen. These are written to storage on your own device, at a location shown to you at the time. They are yours to keep, move or delete. We never see them, and nothing is uploaded as part of an export.
Children
WisdomTrack is a business tool intended for adults running a business. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. The only thing we receive is a crash report, which contains no personal information — so there is nothing about a child, or anyone else, for us to hold or delete.
Keeping your data safe
Your records sit in your device's app-private storage, which other apps on the device cannot read. If you use sync, the file is protected by your Google account and whatever protections you have on it — we strongly recommend two-factor authentication on that account, since it, and not us, is what stands between your records and anyone else.
Because your data never reaches us, a breach of our systems cannot expose it. By the same token, we cannot recover it for you. If you lose your device and have not turned on sync or kept a backup, the records on it are gone. Please keep a backup.
Your rights and how to exercise them
We hold none of your records, so most requests are things you carry out yourself, immediately and without asking us:
- See your data — it is all visible in the app.
- Export it — Settings → Export, as CSV or a full backup.
- Delete it — delete records in the app, or uninstall to remove everything on that device. Deleting wisdomtrack.json from your Drive removes the synced copy.
- Disconnect Google — Settings → Disconnect. You can also revoke WisdomTrack's access entirely at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Your records stay on your device and the file in your Drive is left untouched.
If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights — such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the UK GDPR, or the EU GDPR — those rights apply to personal data a company holds about you. The only thing we hold is crash reports, which carry a technical stack trace, a device model and an app version, and are deleted after about 90 days. They contain nothing that identifies you. If you believe we hold anything else about you, write to us at the address below and we will respond.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy — for example, if a future feature required data to pass through a server — we will update this page and change the date at the top before that feature ships. Material changes will be announced in the app.
