The Short Version

• No account. You never register, log in, or give us your name, email or phone number.
• Your content stays on your phone. What you calculate, measure, type, scan, photograph, sign or save in the app (including health entries such as BMI, steps and period dates) is processed and stored only on your device. We do not run servers that receive it.
• Some data is collected by Google services we use: Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics in both editions (app usage and crash reports), and Google AdMob in the free edition only (ads). Details below.
• A few optional online tools send only what you type (an IFSC code, a PIN code, or a city) to a public service to look it up.

Two Editions: How They Differ in Privacy

Data Collected Through Google Services

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (both editions)

We use Google Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used and to fix crashes. Firebase may collect:

• App interactions: standard events such as app opens, sessions and screens viewed.
• Crash logs and diagnostics: when the app crashes, a report with the error, app version, Android version and device model.
• Device or other identifiers: a Firebase app instance ID and, where Android allows it, the advertising ID.

We do not send Firebase anything you type, calculate, scan or measure, and we do not send your location to it. This data is used only for analytics and app stability, is encrypted in transit, and is not sold. See Firebase privacy and security.

Google AdMob (free edition only)

The free edition shows ads from Google AdMob. To comply with laws such as the GDPR in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, it uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for consent where required.

• Consent: people in those regions see a consent form on first launch and can change their choice at any time with “Privacy options” on the About screen.
• What AdMob may process: the advertising ID and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interactions, to show and measure ads, limit how often they appear, and prevent fraud. The app does not give AdMob your GPS location.
• Your choices: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings → Google (or Privacy) → Ads.

WisdomTools Pro contains no ads and no ads SDK.

Optional Online Tools

Most tools work fully offline. The tools in the app's Online card need the internet and send only what you enter, to look it up. We do not receive or keep these queries.

• Currency converter: downloads public exchange rates from frankfurter.dev. Nothing about you is sent.
• IFSC lookup: sends the IFSC code you type to Razorpay's public IFSC directory (ifsc.razorpay.com).
• PIN code lookup: sends the PIN code or post office name you type to api.postalpincode.in (India Post data).
• Weather: the city name you type is looked up by your phone's own place search (Android Geocoder, provided by Google). Only the position of that city is then sent to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (api.met.no) for the forecast. Your own location is never used or sent.

Location

The app asks for location permission (precise and approximate) only for the GPS & Speedometer tool. Your position, speed and altitude are read only while that tool is open on your screen, shown on your phone, and never stored, logged or sent anywhere. The app never tracks your location in the background.

Camera, Photos and Files

Camera, scanner and file tools work on your device. Pictures and documents are not uploaded, and files are saved only where you choose (or in Pictures/WisdomTools).

• Camera tools (QR & barcode scanner, document scanner, text from image, magnifier, mirror, low-light camera, passport photo): the camera picture is processed on the phone. Text reading and barcode scanning use Google ML Kit on the device. The document scanner, the passport photo's face positioning and its white-background option use ML Kit models that run on the device through Google Play services.
• PDF and image tools (images to PDF, merge, split, viewer, PDF to images, PDF to Word, resize photo, signature maker): files you pick are read and written on your phone through Android's file picker. PDF to Word reads text on the device.

Health and Fitness Tools

BMI, calorie needs, water intake, the step counter and the period & ovulation calendar work entirely on your phone. The step counter reads your phone's built-in step sensor (Physical activity permission). Period dates and cycle settings you enter are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. None of this health information is uploaded, shared, sold or used for advertising. These tools give estimates for general information and are not medical advice.

Other Device Permissions

• Microphone (Sound Meter): used only to measure loudness in decibels in real time. Audio is never recorded, stored or sent.
• Sensors (compass, spirit level, light meter, barometer, metal detector, vibration meter): read live and never stored or sent.
• Storage (Android 9 and older only): to save pictures to your gallery.
• Vibration: for haptic feedback in timers, counters and games.
• Internet: for Firebase, ads (free edition), Play in-app updates and the optional online tools.

What Is Stored on Your Phone

The app keeps a small amount of data in its private storage on your device only: favourite and recent tools, theme, tool settings, your quick note, checklist, tally count, countdown event, last weather city, period calendar entries, the last downloaded currency rates, and (free edition) ad frequency counters. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Children's Privacy

WisdomTools is a general utility app for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your Data Rights (GDPR, CCPA, India DPDP Act 2023)

We hold no account or profile about you on our own servers. Your content stays on your phone, and you control it:

• Clear all app data in Android Settings → Apps → WisdomTools → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app.
• Reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android's Ads settings.
• For questions about analytics or crash data, or any privacy request, email us at the address below. Firebase analytics data is kept for a limited time and then deleted automatically.

Changes to This Policy

When we add tools or services that change how data is handled, we update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
